The Middle East Conflict comes to our Lincoln Quarry!
In early July, our Lincoln quarry near Beamsville became home for a few days to camels, lions, and US and Iraqi troops…sort of. We were approached by a film crew to use our quarry as a backdrop for scenes they were shooting for an upcoming movie.
Employees at the quarry were surprised to see the how authentic looking the props were. Our quarry manager reported that he narrowly missed being spat upon by one of the camels but aside from that, all went well and the weather co-operated.
The attached photos show some of the areas of the movie set. We’ll wait to see how the movie turns out. It’s doubtful that we will recognize it as a quarry in the end.
