The Ontario Stone Sand and Gravel Association (OSSGA) presents safety awards to Nelson's 4 operations. All 4 of Nelson's operating sites (Burlington, Orillia, Lincoln and Cambridge) received the awards which recognize operating for the year 2007 without any lost time injuries in the workforce. Safety Recognition Awards
On behalf of Nelson Aggregate Co., Terry Sgambato and Norm Elmhirst were pleased to receive Safety Recognition Awards from the Ontario Stone Sand and Gravel Association (OSSGA). All 4 of Nelson’s operating sites (Burlington, Orillia, Lincoln and Cambridge) received the awards which recognize operating for the year 2007 without any lost time injuries in the workforce.
Norm Elmhirst & John Robertson
Nelson’s Waynco Sand and Gravel operation was further recognized for having worked 17 consecutive years without a lost time injury.

The awards were presented to the Nelson representatives by John Robertson, Provincial Co-ordinator - Mining Occupational Health and Safety Branch, Ontario Ministry of Labour at the recent OSSGA Operations Safety and Environment seminar in January, 2008.
