An interactive web site launched by OSSGA (January 2009)
The Ontario Stone Sand and Gravel Association has launched an interactive consumer web site. The web site is called “The Hole Story” and illustrates the uses of aggregate in rural, urban and suburban settings. The public can guess how much aggregate is consumed by each person per year and then compare their answers to other members of the public. Interactive maps show the effect that transportation of aggregate has on greenhouse gas emissions and delivery cost. Give it a try!!!
