QUALITY CONTROL

Our onsite laboratories allow us to constantly monitor our products and adjust for variations in processing the natural resource, thereby maintaining product quality & specifications. The laboratories are regularly certified by the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL) as Type C labs. Yearly proficiency testing is carried out at each of our certified labs to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) & CCIL. If you have any questions about our processes or certifications feel free to contact our Quality Control Department.

Gradations

(Sieve Analysis) - The determination of the particle size distribution of fine and coarse aggregates. We typically produce our products to meet the OPSS gradation requirements. See Below for the gradation requirements by material category.

Physicals

Testing performed to determine the physical characteristics of fine and coarse aggregates. The chart below shows some of the typical tests performed on the aggregates. The application helps dictate which physical tests are required for a product.
